Opening Ceremony of the Indonesian Subsidiary
PT. Resin Plating Technology (hereafter RPT) is a joint venture company of Kanto Kasei Co., Ltd (hereafter Kanto Kasei. Headquarters: Yokosuka City, Kanagawa, President: Kohichi Tanaka) and Toyota Auto Body Co., Ltd. (hereafter Toyota Auto Body. Headquarters: Kariya City, Aichi, President: Takuji Amioka). RPT produces plated resin parts for motor vehicles in Bekasi City, West Java, Indonesia. The company held a production start-up ceremony on September 6 (Friday) at 1:30 pm local time.
Kohichi Tanaka, President of Kanto Kasei, and Takahiro Iwase, Vice President of Toyota Auto Body welcomed about 70 guests at the ceremony, including Mamoru Akiyama, Vice President of PT. Toyoya Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (manufacturer of Toyota products in Indonesia). On behalf of the shareholders, Toyota Auto Body Vice President Takahiro Iwase greeted the guests in the ceremony. He stated, “RPT will produce high-quality yet low-cost parts using latest the plating technology and will continue to contribute to the development of the automotive industry in Indonesia”.
Since 2000, Kanto Kasei has received requests from Toyota Auto Body to provide plating technology support to PT. Sugity Creatives (hereafter S/C), a subsidiary of Toyota Auto Body in Indonesia. Due to the market expansion, Kanto Kasei divided the business from S/C, establishing RPT with Toyota Auto Body, a company with an extensive track record in terms of starting up overseas offices.
